Christina Kataoka, Esq.Associate

    Christina Kataoka joined Peterson Bradford Burkwitz Gregorio Burkwitz & Su in 2024. She focuses her practice on civil litigation, defending individuals, businesses, and public entities in employment disputes and professional liability matters before state and federal courts, as well as administrative agencies.

    Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Kataoka was the Executive Director of a nonprofit organization that delivered mediation, negotiation, and conflict resolution training services nationwide. She personally handled over 600 mediations involving matters ranging from neighbor and personal injury disputes to business divorces, breach of contract claims, and intellectual property disputes. Frequently invited to speak on university and professional panels addressing topics of dispute resolution, Ms. Kataoka also regularly taught mediation courses to students and professionals, including attorneys and retired judges. Before entering the legal profession, Ms. Kataoka worked in private equity, where her career focused on raising capital for US-China investments.

    Ms. Kataoka earned her Juris Doctor from the University of New Hampshire School of Law and her Master’s degree in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from St. John’s College.

    Ms. Kataoka is licensed to practice before all California state courts and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. She is fluent in Mandarin and Kunmingese.
