Sherry Gregorio joined Peterson Bradford Burkwitz Gregorio Burkwitz & Su in 2006. She primarily practices in the areas of medical malpractice and employment law. With more than 20 years of experience in the legal field, Ms. Gregorio has a thorough understanding in all phases of litigation from case inception through trial. Her experience in the medical-legal field has allowed her to analyze and contend with the medical and legal complexities inherent in the specialty practice area of medical-professional liability defense, from low-damage to very high-damage cases in including stroke case and amputations. Her experience in employment law encompasses a vigorous defense of individuals, businesses, and public-entity defendants in employment discrimination, retaliation, harassment, brought under the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, and various California statutes. Ms. Gregorio has a hands-on approach in all aspects of case management, including discovery and depositions, legal research and analysis, mediations and settlements, and trial preparation. She has co-chaired in 6 jury trials, 2 bench trials, and 5 administrative hearings.
Ms. Gregorio began her career in law as a legal secretary in 1988, gaining invaluable experience in the areas of personal injury and healthcare litigation. She decided to pursue other interests for a time and in 1992, obtained her Associate of Arts Degree in Business Administration from West Los Angeles College.
In 1995, she returned to law as a litigation assistant in a civil law practice, where she focused on medical malpractice. She earned her Juris Doctor in 2007 from the University of West Los Angeles, School of Law. She was admitted to the California State Bar Association in 2009 and is licensed to practice before all courts within California and in the United States District Court, Central District of California. She is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Langston Bar Association. In recognition of her achievements and dedication, Ms. Gregorio made partner in 2019.
